A 44-year-old Idaho man died early Saturday morning of an apparent drug overdose at a Butler home where he had moved just the prior day, authorities said.

Robert Siltman of Boise was pronounced dead at the home on the 300 block of West North Street, said Butler County Deputy Coroner Larry Barr.

Investigators said Siltman was found shortly after 1 a.m. with a tourniquet on his arm and two empty stamp bags of suspected heroin.

An autopsy was performed but a cause of death is still pending results of toxicology tests, which won't be available for several weeks, Barr said.

A woman who was with Siltman before his death apparently administered the opioid antidote Narcan but she could not revive him. Authorities said that she then called friends and asked for them to bring more Narcan.

The woman reportedly fled. One of Siltman's friends called 911 to report he was in cardiac or respiratory arrest.

Investigators believe he was a patient at VA Butler Healthcare.
