Clint Nagle

A man currently serving time in a state correctional facility in Mercer pleaded guilty to heroin distribution in Butler County Court on Tuesday.

Clint E. Nagle, 33, pleaded guilty to two felony counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance — heroin, and felony criminal use of a communications facility before Judge Timothy McCune.

The plea agreement calls for a sentence of two to five years in state prison, restitution and fines. Nagle is scheduled for sentencing on Dec. 30.

Nagle was initially charged with two felony counts of possession with intent and criminal use of a communications facility after an incident on March 29, 2016, and two felony counts of possession with intent and misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance after an incident July 5, 2016. The remaining charges will be dismissed as part of the plea.

The March charges stem from an investigation by the state attorney general's office, after they say Nagle sold heroin to an informant twice, once on East Brady Street and the other on McKean Street in back of the Butler Public Library.

The July charges stem from an investigation by the Butler County Drug Task Force, where Nagle sold nine stamp bags of heroin to a confidential informant for $80 on North Cliff Street and Walnut Street in Butler.

Nagle is already in state prison for a parole violation in an unrelated burglary case.
