The Marriott Springhill Suites is scheduled to be completed by mid-November.

Director of construction Floyd Beaudette said workers are finishing up interior work, including installing carpeting and wallpaper. Following that, they will set furniture in place.

Once construction is complete, there will be final safety inspections. Beaudette said he doesn’t know when the hotel will open, because after construction is complete hotel employees will still need to be hired and trained.

The hotel is a 76-room structure at the corner of McKean and Jefferson streets. It is part of the $13.2 million Centre City project, along with the four-floor, 239-space garage next to it.
