Byron Manchester placed first in the 110-meter hurdles and triple jump as Butler’s boys finished atop the team standings at last Thursday’s Mars Junior High Track and Field Invitational.

The Golden Tornado edged Altoona by two points to earn the crown at the 21-team event.

Tyler Rekich finished in third place in the triple jump and long jump, Malachi Stephenson was third in the discus and the 4x400 relay foursome of Manchester, Steven Green, Guinness Brown and Skyler Vavro also took third.

Other place winners were Raine Gratzmiller, Jordan Stutz, Shawndell Zapata and the 4x800 relay of Gratzmiller, Vavro, Cole Hurley and Cole Lyons.
