Levi Donnel, 11, of Butler took first place in the 12-under/70-pound division at the sixth annual Akron Fall Wrestling Classic in Ohio this past weekend.

Butler Junior High dropped a pair of meets to North Allegheny, the boys falling 15-48, the girls 15-40.
Josh Fry and Cole Lyons were the top two finishers for Butler’s boys. Samantha Penrod and Jada Pinto were 1-2 for the Butler girls.
St. Kilian in Cranberry Township had the individual winner in three of four races as Butler Catholic hosted St. Peter & Paul (Beaver), St. Kilian and St. Ursula (Hampton). Alaina Hicks was the girls middle school winner in 12 minutes, 14 seconds. Julia Zalenski won the girls elementary race, Owen Schessler won the boys elementary race.
CJ Singleton of Butler Catholic won the boys middle school race and set a course record of 10:42.
Butler Catholic participated in the recent North Area Catholic Schools meet and had Singleton finish third in the boys middle school race, Sam Cornell seventh in the girls elementary, Michael Braun 11h in the boys elementary and Santino Sloboda 12th in the boys Novice.
