Butler residents can dispose of leaves beginning Oct. 15 at a designated area in Memorial Park.

Signs will direct people to the designated area, which will be open from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends and holidays.

The area will be open through November. No materials, including plastic bags used to carry the leaves, may be left in the area. The area is for leaves only.

Dumping of brush, rubbish and garbage is not allowed.

Any Butler resident who intends to dispose of leaves by burning them on private property is required to contact the Butler Fire Department at 724-283-3100 for instructions.
