Forster, who said there were around 40 re-enactors at the event, has been recreating French and Indian War battles for about 20 years. “At my very first re-enactment, there were five of us, firing at nothing,” he said. All of the weapons are fired using blanks, he said. Both Forster and Holt were representing Scottish Highlanders serving in the British army.
