A Butler area man only sustained minor injuries after driving his Subaru up the guard wires of a utility pole outside of Tani’s Pizza on Saturday evening. The man’s car overturned on New Castle Road near the Mercer Street intersection just after 5 p.m., according to city police. The man performed a sobriety test with police after refusing treatment for some scrapes, police said. Police did not release the identity of the driver, but said they believe he may have been under the influence of alcohol.
