Mars sixth-grade wrestler Brandon Krul recently placed eighth at the Pennsylvania Junior Wrestling (PJW) State Championships in Erie.

Krul competed in the 11-12 65-pound division. He qualified for the state event after winning his weight class in the PJW Greater Pittsburgh Area 7 Wrestling Championship at North Hills Middle School.

Krul has earned three state medals in his seven years of wrestling in the Mars youth program.
