Josh Bonetti, Zach Slomers, Bryan Presco and Nate Cornibe all scored six points as the Butler eighth grade boys Gold basketball team defeated West Shamokin, 37-5, recently.

Butler is 4-6 on the season.

The seventh grade Gold team (5-5) defeated West Shamokin, 51-11, as Gavin Wright scored 10 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Justin Bailey and Zane Cestrone scored six points each.

Wrestling

Butler’s junior high team recently competed at a 34-team tournament at South Side High School.

Colton Spohn helped the Golden Tornado to a 15th-place finish by earning second place at 110 pounds.

Cameron Wisenstein (85 pounds) and Ian Thompson (250) both placed fourth.
