Robert 'Pete' Watson

Robert “Pete” Watson of Slippery Rock will celebrate his 90th birthday with an open house celebration from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Slippery Rock Township Building, 155 Branchton Road, Slippery Rock.

Watson was born Sept. 21, 1925. He married Isabelle Watson.

He has six children, four grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Watson is a World War II U.S. Navy submarine service veteran. He was the Butler County sheriff for 16 years and district judge for nine years before retiring in 1991.
