Fassett 50th anniversary
Willard E. “Bud” and Carol Lynn Brown Fassett of Butler, formerly of New Kensington, celebrated 50 years of marriage with a family dinner given by their daughters at Allegheny Mariner in Kittanning.
Fassett married the former Carol Brown on Aug. 21, 1965, at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church in New Kensington.
They have two children, Suzanne Jack of New Bethlehem and Amy McIlwain of Lower Burrell.
They also have 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Fassett worked for 35 years at Westinghouse (Emerson Electric) in Blawnox.
He is the president of Four Lakes Fishing Club and was formerly an officer at American Legion Post 347 in New Kensington.
Fassett enjoys fishing, boating, target shooting and Steelers football.
Mrs. Fassett was a lab technician and phlebotomist for 30 years at Citizens General Hospital in New Kensington and Allegheny Valley Hospital in Natrona Heights.
She was a Girl Scout leader for 15 years, a member of the PTA at Martin Elementary School in New Kensington and a member of American Legion Post 347 Auxiliary.
She enjoys fishing, boating, target shooting and bowling.
The Fassetts are members of St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church.
