Stebler 65th anniversary
Phil and Dotty Stebler of Sherwood Oaks Retirement Community, Cranberry Township, gathered with family from across the country for a weekend celebration of 65 years of marriage at Sherwood Oaks Retirement Community.
They married on June 3, 1950.
They have five children. They also have 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
The Steblers owned Esser Costume Company for more than 25 years and designed costumes for sale and rental.
Mrs. Stebler taught ceramics. She is a talented craftsperson who makes many gifts and designs her own greeting cards.
Stebler was a custom homebuilder and later a land developer until his retirement.
He is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was quartermaster of the Cranberry Township VFW and commandant of the Ohio Valley Marine Corps League. He serves as chaplain for both organizations.
Stebler designed and oversaw construction of the Cranberry Township Veterans Memorial. He served as chairman and master of ceremonies for the Memorial Day ceremony for many years.
The Steblers are members of St. Ferdinand Roman Catholic Church.
