Medical center sets free health fair
GROVE CITY — Grove City Medical Center will hold a free health fair on June 27.
The event will be from 9 a.m. to noon at Country Market, 49 Pine Grove Square.
At the fair, people will be able to ask questions of a pharmacist and health care provider. Also available will be bone density scans, nutritional counseling and screenings for balance and body mass index. Blood pressures also will be taken.

SRU gets $40,000 grant from LCB
SLIPPERY ROCK — State Rep. Jaret Gibbons recently announced a grant award for Slippery Rock University.
SRU will get $40,000 from the state Liquor Control Board Bureau of Alcohol Education for initiatives aimed at reducing underage and dangerous drinking.
The Bureau of Alcohol education received 103 applications for this grant cycle and awarded $2.27 million to 65 entities across the state.
