Fund set up to help family of man killed

WEXFORD — The employer of the late Tim Klaes, who was killed Friday when a tree fell on his Worth Township home, has opened a GoFundMe account to assist Klaes’ wife and 5-year-old son.

Donna Kollek, EIP service administrator at Animal Imaging Partners, announced the account on Monday.

Donors can go to www.gofundme.com to offer financial help to the family of Klaes, 31, who is survived by his wife, Nicole, and son, Brayden.

Brayden was in the home about 5:30 p.m. when lightening or high winds toppled the tree onto Klaes’ mobile home. While Klaes died of head injuries, Brayden was not hurt.

Klaes worked in the services department at Animal Imaging Partners for nine months.

KC school board may discuss staffer

FAIRVIEW TWP — The status of the Karns City School District business manager who is on administrative leave likely will be discussed next month by the school board.

Linnea Lincoln, who was hired in January 2014, was not discussed at Monday’s school board meeting.

Superintendent Eric Ritzert said that Lincoln is away with obligations to the Army Reserve. He said that a special board meeting may be held to discuss her employment.

He said he would not comment further.

Lincoln was placed on leave last month after administration officials and the school board had concerns regarding details in her proposed $23.8 million preliminary budget for 2015-16.
