Butler’s freshman baseball team cruised to a 17-3 victory over Fox Chapel at Squaw Valley Park recently.

Ryan Linn was the winning pitcher, scattering six hits.

Garret Banner paced a 15-hit Golden Tornado attack with three singles. Isaiah Lucas had a double, single and RBI, JR Herold a double and two RBI, Mcgwire Covert a triple and RBI, Jacob Keene a double and RBI. Justin Stewart added two singles.

Track and Field

Butler Junior High swept a double dual from Fox Chapel and Mars.

The Golden Tornado girls defeated Fox Chapel 66-52 and defeated Mars 101-17. The boys defeated those teams by scores of 64-54 and 68-50.

Elizabeth Simms won the 800 and 1,600-meter runs in both meets for the Butler girls.
