Youth basketball tourney has opening

The North American Youth Sports still has several openings for teams in a tournament from April 17-19 at St. Joseph High School in Natrona Heights.

The tournament will feature 10 different brackets for boys and girls teams from grade levels five-12. The entry fee for the tournament is $110 and guarantees each team a minimum of two games.

The entry deadline is March 27 and for additional information contact tournament director Chris Oshnock.

Spots open in powerlifting meet

There’s an open high school powerlift meet April 11 at Ford City High School.

There will be three prizes in the bench press and deadlift contests with trophies being awarded in 10 different weight classes.
