Patricia A. Milliron
Patricia A. Milliron, 73, a lifelong Bruin resident and well-known retired schoolteacher, went to be with Jesus late Friday evening at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Pat was known by all for her unwavering faith and unconditional love.
Patricia was born on Dec. 1, 1940, in Bruin. She was the daughter of the late O. Dale and Mary F. Stewart Emerick.
She was a 1958 graduate of Fairview Township Karns City High School.
Pat was a longtime active member of the Faith Community-Bruin United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the Friendship Sunday School Class and the United Methodist Women and had served as a Sunday school teacher and youth group leader. She was a longtime member of the Auxiliary to the Bruin Volunteer Fire Department. Pat was a volunteer with the Chicora Community Library. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter 60 in Parker City and was a Rainbow Girls adviser. Pat enjoyed playing Scrabble with family and friends.
In her earlier years, Pat had been a co-owner of the Century House Restaurant in Petrolia.
Mrs. Milliron was a dedicated educator and had been employed at the Bruin Elementary School for many years as a teacher's aide. She returned to college later in life and earned a Bachelor of Science in elementary education from Clarion University. Mrs. Milliron was a first-grade teacher at Bruin Elementary School for more than two decades, retiring in 2012.
Pat was a devoted mother, grandmother and sister, and she enjoyed many trips to Alaska and Maryland to visit her children and grandchildren, and enjoyed a very close and special relationship with her sister.
She is survived by her two children, Stephen Duane Milliron and his wife, Randy, of Soldotna, Alaska, and Michele Callihan and her husband, Fred, of Westminster, Md.; her six grandchildren, Danielle C. Milliron of Yorba Linda, Calif., Maxwell W. and Alisa M. Milliron of Soldotna, Alaska, and David, Ashley and Connor Callihan, all of Westminster, Md.; her great-granddaughter, Aurora Oostman of Soldotna, Alaska; her sister, Betty J. “B.J.” Sigworth and her husband, Roger, of Bruin; as well as a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and cherished friends.

Milliron, who passed away Friday, March 28, 2014, will be received at the Hile Funeral Home of Karns City, 128 Main St., Karns City, from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Faith Community-Bruin United Methodist Church, 142 Main St., Bruin, with the Rev. Dennis Barger, pastor of the Scrubgrass Stone Church in Emlenton, and the Rev. Alison Fisher, pastor of the Faith Community-Bruin Methodist Church, officiating.To honor Patricia, the family requests that those attending wear something red, Pat's favorite color.Interment will be in Allegheny Cemetery, Allegheny Township, Butler County.Memorial contributions may be made to the Faith Community-Bruin Methodist Church, P.O.
