Newly elected Butler Mayor Tom Donaldson recites the oath of office under the supervision of District Judge Lewis Stoughton at the city's reorganization meeting Monday. Donaldson said he wants to reduce crime and create more transparency in Butler. “This city has a rich history,” he said. “And with hard work and leadership, Butler can have a successful future.” Re-elected council members Richard Schontz Jr. and Kathy Kline and city controller Gretchen Ehlman also were sworn into office.
