Just over a month after being welcomed into the West Virginia University Health System, the newly-renamed WVU Medicine Butler Memorial Hospital is welcoming a new physician: Michele Mlakar, D.O., a board-certified internal medicine physician.

Dr. Mlakar, whose specialty is primary care and internal medicine, will see patients at WVU Medicine primary care locations in Saxonburg and Seven Fields. Prior to joining WVU Medicine, Dr. Mlakar served as lead physician for Northern Medical Associates, a network of three primary care locations in Allegheny County affiliated with UPMC.
