Trevor Gilliland scored three goals and added two assists recently as the Butler freshman hockey team defeated Shaler, 8-4.

Gavin Morrison scored two power play goals while Tyler Hrip added two goals and Chris Martin one.

Butler is 9-1 on the season, leads its section and faces Knoch at 8:30 p.m. Jan. 17 at the Ice Connection.

Wrestling

Knoch’s youth program participated in the North Hills Novice Tournament recently, with Dalton Reed finishing first in the 10-under, 105-pound weight class.

Second-place finishers for the Knights were Christian Scheller and Dustin Schlagel, third places were Tristan Lynch and Kyle Lauster.
