Butler Jr. High at 5-0

The Butler Junior High football team improved to 5-0 Wednesday with a 33-24 victory over Highlands.

Quarterback Adam Jendesky scored on a 65-yard run with kicker Louise Diaz adding the PAT. Alex Pacoe recovered a fumble for the Golden Tornado inside the Butler 35-yard line.

Shortly thereafter, Noah Ryder caught a 25-yard pass to the Highlands 2-yard line and Antonio DeVaughn scored from there. Diaz added another PAT. Ryder scored on a 37-yard run to give Butler a 20-0 halftime lead.

In the second half, Jendesky scored on a 46-yard run, DeVaughn on a 40-yard run, and Drew Darney added a PAT. Butler’s offensive line play was led by Donovan Slater, Owen Angerett, Seth McCrea, David Michalek, Dawson Davenport, Steve Beichner and tight end Kyle Heller.
