IN BRIEF

Pete and Sandy Geither spent 27 years running their body shop business at the corner of 201 Hansen Ave.

Now, in retirement, having closed the body shop in 2011, the couple decided on a new business, motorcycle storage.

“We tried to sell the building, but in this economy that didn't happen, so we decided we needed to do something. I mean, it's a waste to just let the building sit there,” Geither said Tuesday.

He said he got the idea of motorcycle storage from a friend who use to work at the former Zanotti Motor Co., which sold motorcycles and accessories.

So the couple upgraded the climate controls in their building and installed a security and camera system.

He said the building will hold 125 to 150 motorcycles.
