Eligible retirees in the Pennsylvania Public School Employees’ Retirement System (PPSERS) are due to receive new regular monthly pension payments in October reflecting a cost-of-living adjustment.

According to the PPSERS, September’s payments were higher because the new cost-of-living adjustment monthly benefit amount was included and the retroactive adjustment increase for July and August was added.

The October payments for the more than 30,000 eligible retirees will reflect the ongoing monthly pension benefit they will receive going forward.
