Butler Catholic’s Emma LeMay placed fourth and Erin LeMay was seventh in the junior varsity race (grades 3-6) at the eight-team Catholic Schools Preseason Invitational Sunday at Shaler High School.

Colton Lineman placed 10th to medal in the boys junior varsity race.

On Wednesday, the girls squad defeated Holy Redeemer of Ellwood City 22-38 in the program’s first-ever home meet at BC3.

Erin LeMay and Emma LeMay finished first and second, respectively, followed by Maggie Bartony (fifth), Caitlin Peratt (sixth) and Sarah Preston (eighth).

In the boys junior varsity meet, Holy Redeemer prevailed 23-32. Lineman finished second, followed by Tom Preston (sixth), Dylan Schaffner (seventh), Sean LeMay (eighth) and Ryan Truax (ninth).

The Saints will travel to St. Gregory in Zelienople Park next Thursday.
