Robert Neidrick
Robert “Bob” Thomas Neidrick, 61, of Butler went to be with the Lord Thursday at 4:50 p.m. in the Butler Veterans Administration Medical Center.
Born in Erie on Aug. 13, 1949, he was the son of the late Robert Leroy Neidrick and Mary Magdeline Green Neidrick.
Mr. Neidrick graduated from Strong Vincent High School in Erie. He received a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from Syracuse University. He received his masters from the University of Southern California.
He was a career veteran of the U.S. Air Force obtaining the rank of and retiring as a lieutenant colonel. He was a pilot and flew K-135 tankers, performing mid air refueling.
Following his retirement he worked as a financial planner for First Command Financial Planning.
Bob is survived by his wife, Rhoda J. Gray Niedrick, who he married on Dec. 27, 2000.
He attended Allegheny Center Alliance Church. He had served with Gideon International for over 38 years, speaking at churches locally and as distant as Kenya and Togo. He also served on mission trips to China and Moscow.
He is survived by his mother, Mary Green Neidrick, who resides in the Chicora Medical Center; two daughters, Shannon Taylor and her husband, Russell, and Mary Holmes and her husband, Jeff, both of Mobile, Ala.; one stepson, Dr. Isaac B. Mrozek and his wife, Mary Jo, of East Liverpool, Ohio; one stepdaughter, Stephanie Weaver and her husband, Joe, of Kittanning; one granddaughter, Elaine Taylor; and seven step grandchildren Rebekah, Mikalah and Isabella Mrozek, and Sean, Isaac, Sarai and Livia Weaver.
<B>NEIDRICK</B> — Friends of Robert “Bob” Thomas Neidrick, who died Thursday, June 2, 2011, will be received at <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, 124 E. North St., Butler, on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at the funeral home at 11 a.m. with the Rev.
