Eatilo J. Pellegrini
Eatilo J. Pellegrini, 90, of Brackenridge passed away at 1:35 a.m. Thursday at the Highland Center Genesis Health Care, Brackenridge.
He was born Dec. 17, 1920, in Cicero, Ill., to the late Primo Pellegrini and Cesera (Sadie) Collodi Pellegrini.
Mr. Pellegrini was a veteran of the U.S. Army, 730 Railway Operation Battalion, serving as a sergeant in Iraq during World War II.
He retired from the Veteran's Administration Hospital, now VA Butler Healthcare, where he was a cook and maintenance person.
He was a member of the VFW and the Butler Italian Club and also enjoyed cooking, dancing, politics and gardening.
Mr. Pellegrini is survived by two sons, Joseph (Peggy) Pellegrini of Canfield, Ohio, and Jeff (Sarah) Pellegrini of Butler; one granddaughter, Jill Pellegrini; one grandson, Michael Pellegrini; one sister, Yolanda Pucci; two nieces, Susan McIntyre and Barb Skunda; and four nephews, Arthur Pellegrini, Michael Pucci, Wayne Pucci and Andy Skunda.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Olga (Grennek) Pellegrini, who passed away March 15, 1965; his second wife, Irene (Nagy) Pellegrini, who passed away Feb. 28, 1992; two sisters, Tosca Skunda and Jean Pellegrini; two brothers, Arthur Pellegrini and Rene Pellegrini; and Betty Fryer of Natrona Heights.
The family would like to express their gratitude for the caregivers at the Alle-Kiski Medical Center and at the Highland Center Genesis Health Care.
