Stasko

Kathryn Stasko, 89, of Butler passed away at 3:10 a.m. Monday at Allegheny General Hospital.

She was born Sept. 6, 1921, in Butler to the late Steve Coretsky and Helen Boychuk Coretsky.

She was a member of the Butler Assembly of God and a homemaker.

Mrs. Stasko loved gardening.

Mrs. Stasko is survived by one son, Tim (Sylvia) Stasko of Butler; one foster son, Kevin McLucas and family of Montana; one grandchild, Frank Iannuzzi; two sisters, Helen Purcell of North Carolina and Nancy Grzybowski of New Jersey; one goddaughter, Alana Dec; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Stasko Sr., who passed away July 18, 1973; one son, Paul Stasko Jr., who passed away in the line of duty; three brothers, Pete Coretsky, John Coretsky and Steve Coretsky; and two sisters, Mary and Ann.

Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral services will be at the funeral home Thursday at 11 a.m. with Pastor George Miller of the Butler Assembly of God officiating.
