Audrey Marie Specht, 85, of Chambersburg, formerly of Pittsburgh, passed away Friday at Penn Hall Mennohaven in Chambersburg.

Born Feb. 13, 1926, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Frank Sherman and Gertrude (Wittmer) Sherman.

She was a member of the ladies auxiliary of the Odontological Society, where she was past president and a member of the ladies auxiliary at Passavant Hospital, where her husband was a doctor of dental surgery.

Audrey was loving, caring, creative and beautiful, a shining example of all the things that God loves about human beings. She always made a house a home for her husband and family as she nurtured and encouraged them all.

She will be forever in the hearts of her son, Dr. Charles S. (Joanne L.) Specht and her grandson, Kurt Erhlich Specht, of Hershey; and her daughter, Gretchen (Russell D.) Specht Gaus and granddaughter, Brooke Carol Gaus, of Newville.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Dr. Charles Kenneth Specht, who died in December 2000.

<B>SPECHT </B>— Friends of Audrey Marie Specht, who died Friday, May 13, 2011, will be received Saturday, May 21, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at <B>Fox Funeral Home</B>, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.
