Anna Marie Alberti
Anna Marie Alberti, 92, of Butler passed away at 8:25 a.m. Sunday at the Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot.
Born in Etna, April 13, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Nellie (Miller) Carroll.
During her lifetime, Anna was employed by the Spaide Shirt Factory and then as a supervisor at the Bobbie Brooks garment factory, where she retired after 20 years of service.
Anna was a member of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Butler.
Her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her joy. Anna enjoyed cooking, baking and sewing.
She is survived by her daughter, Geraldine M. (Alberti) Heade of Butler; a son-in-law, Richard Hertz of Butler; grandchildren, Gregg Heade and his wife, Theresa, of Chicora, Norma Wehby and her husband, Michael, of Modesto, Calif., Pamela Stevenson and her husband, Kirby, of Butler, Michael Hertz of Herman, Anthony Hertz and his wife, Kellie, of Butler and Stephen Hertz and his wife, Sherry, of Lewisberry, York County; her great-grandchildren, Nicole Stevenson of Renfrew, Courtney Heade and her fiance, Joe McHugh, of Lakewood, Ohio, Ryan Stevenson and his wife, Shannon, of Butler, Ian Wehby of Modesto, Calif., Anna and Luke Heade of Chicora and Brianna and Abbey Hertz of Lewisberry; her brother, Col. Anthony Carroll and his wife, Ginny, of Carlisle; a sister, Barbara Browning of Beverly Hills, Fla.; and a sister-in-law, Maxine Carroll of Phoenix, Md.
Anna was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Angelo A. Alberti. Also preceding her in death were her daughter, Mrs. Shirley Ann (Alberti) Hertz; a son-in-law, Edward W. Heade; two grandsons, Christopher Hertz and Bruce Edward Heade; and four brothers, Nicholas, Frank and Stephen Carroll and Charles Vickey.
<B>ALBERTI </B>— Friends of Anna Marie Alberti, who died Sunday, May 15, 2011, will be received at <B>Young Funeral Home</B>, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, 127 Franklin St., Butler, Wednesday at 11 a.m. Interment will be at St. Peter Catholic Cemetery.Contributions may be made in memory of Anna to the charity of the donor’s choice.Information also is available at www.youngfuneralhomes.com.
