Thomas E. Brown
Thomas E. Brown, 98, of Butler passed away at 8:30 a.m. Monday at the Lowrie House.
He was born July 16, 1912, in St. Petersburg, Clarion County, to the late Elmer Brown and the late Pearl Fillman Brown.
Mr. Brown was a manager of Dillich Lumber Co. of Butler for 30 years, retiring in 1964.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Mr. Brown was a life member of the Butler Elks Lodge 170 and also a life member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 64.
Mr. Brown is survived by three daughters, Elise Richardson and her husband, Donald, of Littleton, Colo., Samantha Brown of Northfield, Ohio, and Sandy Rukavina of Cleveland, Ohio; three sons, George Brown and his wife, Betty, of Butler, Thomas Brown and his wife, Debbie, of New Castle and Jerry Brown and his wife, Karen, of Columbus, Ind.; 17 grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy (Dillich) Brown, who passed away Oct. 5, 1939; his second wife, Florence Clare (Twyford) Brown, who passed away Oct. 12, 1999; his son, Elmer Brown; two brothers; and six sisters.
<B>BROWN </B>— Friends of Thomas E. Brown, who died Monday, May 2, 2011, will be received Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, 124 E. North St., Butler. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Thomas M. Pierotti of Trinity Lutheran Church officiating.
