Lyndora wins Palomino tourney
BUTLER TWP — The Lyndora Lancers won four straight games in winning a Palomino wooden bat baseball tournament over the weekend at Highfield.
Joey Marak tossed a one-hitter as the Lancers defeated North Allegheny, 8-0, in the first game. Mike Hartman contributed three singles, C.J. Miller a double and single, Kolby Kriess two singles to the cause.
Justin Grossman allowed two hits in an 8-1 victory over the Pittsburgh Crusaders. Miller had two singles and Cody Montgomery doubled.
Matt Baranchak gave up two hits in a 7-2 win over Hampton. Montgomery had two singles in that victory.
Miller allowed six hits in a 4-2 championship game victory over North Hills. David Tompkins had a double and single while Matt Baranchak doubled for the Lancers.
