Elizabeth M. Roccia

Elizabeth M. “Betty” Roccia, 94, of Callery died Tuesday morning at UPMC Passavant Hospital in McCandless Township.

Born in Swissvale, March 1, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Dominic and Palma Grand DiCicco.

Betty was a laundress for LAS/St. John Specialty Care Center in Mars and was a member of St. Kilian Roman Catholic Church in Mars.

She was an avid bingo player.

Surviving are two daughters, Mary Miseraco and Pam (Ronald) Batykefer, both of Mars; three sons, Patsy Roccia of Callery, Paul (Diane) Roccia and John (Joanne) Roccia; a brother, George DiCicco of Glenshaw; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Roccia, who died Jan. 31, 1968; and by two brothers, Luke and Tony DiCicco.

<B>ROCCIA</B> — Friends of Elizabeth M. “Betty” Roccia, who died Tuesday, April 26, 2011, will be received at <B>McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home</B>, 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Kilian Roman Catholic Church, Mars, at 11 a.m. Friday with the Rev. Charles Bober, pastor, officiating.
