The Butler Junior High girls track team posted 10 first-place finishes in defeating Pine-Richland, 83-44, recently.

Julia Baxter won the 100 meter hurdles, long jump, high jump and triple jump. Kelsee Callihan won the 1,600 and 3200 meters, Kaylynn Callihan the discus.

Olivia Drohan won the 800 meters, Alyssa Wulff the pole vault, and Zoe Gillan, Brookle Carr, Sydney Barr and Megan Paul combined to win the 4x400 relay.

BaseballRyan Denny had two singles, a home run and two RBI to lead Butler’s freshmen to a 4-1 win over Fox Chapel.Ryan Vero got the win for the Golden Tornado (2-1) with three hitless innings. DJ Perez, Garret Goslaw, Mark Gross, Connor Thomas and Jesse Savisky all had singles.Butler hosts North Hills Monday at Highfield.
