Emily Hegedus had 13 points and Erin LeMay had four in the Butler Catholic fifth-grade girls basketball team’s 23-9 victory over St. Alexis in the St. Mary of Glenshaw Tournament.

Anna Chiprean, Emma LeMay and Maggie Bartony netted two points each for the Saints, who play St. Theresa in the semifinals.

St. Fidelis defeated CCUM 48-36 to win the Butler County Church League boys senior championship Tuesday in the Butler Cubs gym.

St. Fidelis players include Dominic Farmer, Joe Friel, Sam Cleary, Kyle Gilliland, Shane Peters, Tyler Slepski, Jake Olenick and Josh Harrison.

Hockey

Tyler Hensel, Jake Campbell and Jordan Krajnikovich scored goals as Butler’s junior varsity tied host Erie McDowell, 3-3, Tuesday.
