The Grove City College Department of Education, education honorary Kappa Delta Pi and the Hamilton Curriculum Library honored about 90 students in grades four to eight at the Grove City College Awarding Awesome Authors awards ceremony on campus. Winners included:

<B>Maria Nist</B> of Zelienople received honors Nov. 12 at the State Farm Marketing and Sales Competition. Nist, a senior marketing major, placed second overall.The daylong event challenged students to sell a mock auto insurance policy to young adult customers. The project included development of a marketing plan and three rounds of individual sales presentations. Students were judged on videotaped sales presentations and their portfolios.<B>———</B>
<B>Meagan Quail</B> of Valencia helped organize a professional conference, “A Run-In With Recreation Management and Sports Administration,” on Nov. 15 at Lock Haven University.Quail is a junior majoring in the community/commercial recreation track.Lock Haven University recreation management and sport administration majors teamed up to organize the conference, which offered sessions for professionals in recreation management and sport administration and for students interested in learning more about a career in these fields.<B>———
Maria Baroffio </B>of Butler was one of 60 students from Saint Vincent College named to the 2010 edition of Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.Baroffio, a senior communications major, was recognized Nov. 18 during the annual Saint Vincent Founders' Day Vespers and Honors Convocation in the Archabbey Basilica.
