YOUTH FOOTBALL

Robert Burdine scored two touchdowns Wednesday as the Butler Junior High football team defeated North Hills, 28-0.

Jeff Bailey and Jeremy Hanford also scored for the Golden Tornado, and Josh Radar caught numerous passes.

The defense recovered two fumbles and intercepted a pass. Clay Bachman booted two PATs.

Butler travels to New Castle Wednesday.

FreshmenButler 42, Shaler 14 — The Tornado improved to 4-3 as Trevor Monteleone had touchdowns runs of 35 and 30 yards. Barry Murray scored on a 75-yard kick return and 60-yard run.Thomas Jendesky scored on a 15-yard run and Ishemer Ramsey scored on a 10-yard run for Butler. Christian Kovach had four PATs.Zach Raible, Cody Christy, Kovach, Monteleone, Ryan Hannon, Austin Grupp and Tyler Widenhofer played well on defense.Butler travels to North Allegheny for a 7:30 p.m. game Thursday.
