Center Township and Butler City posted victories Saturday in Butler Area Midget Football League play at Memorial Park:

Center Township 16, Meridian 6 — Lucas Dubyak ran 21 yards for CT's first touchdown, Max Bachman adding the conversion run. Dubyak later scored on an 82-yard run for the Rams (2-0) and threw a conversion pass to Devin Fitz.Meridian (1-1) averted the shutout late in the game as Joe Greaves threw a 16-yard touchdown pass to Adam Knauer.

Butler City 40, East Butler 14 — Damien Pickett scored on a 22-yard run and Isaiah DeVaughn on a 19-yard burst for Butler City (1-1) in the first half. Joseph Rudolph added a conversion run.Rudolph tossed a 60-yard TD pass to Pickett to increase the lead to 20-0 through three quarters. In the fourth, he threw a 30-yard scoring pass to Pickett and a 65-yarder to Brandon Selfridge. Tyler Coppersmith scored on a 21-yard run.East Butler (0-2) scored fourth-quarter touchdowns on runs of 37 and 53 yards by Jeremy Moorhead. Rhett Wahler added a conversion run.
