Hoyt Forte
Hoyt Forte, 56, of Harmony passed into the presence of the Lord at 4:15 a.m. Sunday at UPMC Passavant hospital.
Hoyt was born in Monks Corner, S.C., on Dec. 25, 1953, the son of the late Albert and Myrtle Forte.
Hoyt graduated in 1971 from Seneca Valley High School and was a union carpenter with Local 922 since 1973 but retired in 2001 due to C.O.P.D. He remained active in the union as a retired member and was active with the Butler Labor Council.
When his health permitted, he attended the Christian Community Church of Mars.
Hoyt enjoyed and loved his family and enjoyed helping anyone he could. He was a loving and caring special person. He liked sports and old movies and especially enjoyed fishing trips to Canada, the Zelienople Sportsman's Club and hunting before his illness.
He also enjoyed his time spent at Northeast Flooring Distributors in Mars.
Hoyt was so loved. He will be missed by his family, friends and everyone he touched in his special way.
Hoyt is survived by his wife, Kimberly (Webster) Forte, who he married Nov. 15, 1975; two daughters, Heather (Michael) Clougherty and Amber (Daniel) Goehring, both of Ellwood City; a son, Brian Forte of Harmony; five grandchildren, Chais, Isaac, Malea, Ali and Prestin, all of Ellwood City; a brother, Durwood (Patsi) Forte of Jacksonville, Fla.; and two sisters, Sandra (John) Capplinger of Jamestown, S.C., and Claudette (Jack) McCarthy of Cranberry Township. He also is survived by three nieces, five nephews, three great-nieces and four great-nephews.
