Thomas L. Sarver, 86, of Rochester, formerly of Prospect, passed away at 6:40 p.m. Sunday at his home.

He was born Dec. 29, 1923, in Fairview, the son of the late William Sarver and Dolly (McKissick) Sarver.

Thomas had been a general foreman of the welding department at Pullman Standard.

He enjoyed boating and fishing.

He was a Lutheran.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.

Surviving are his wife of 66 years, Ruth M. (Graham) Sarver; a daughter, Charmiann (Frank) Kononchuk of Rochester; two sons, Thomas L. (Karen) Sarver Jr. of Nakomis, Fla., and Timothy L. Sarver of Rochester; four grandchildren, Barbara (Frank) Clyde, Johnny (Vivian) Smith and Bud and Karinsa Wisniewski; six great-grandchildren, Samuel Thomas Clyde, Amy Ruth Clyde, John Kurt Smith and Kamaren, Kobie and Kalaya Wisniewski; a sister, Dolly (Mickey) Rubin of New Castle; and six brothers, William (Agnes) Sarver of Prospect, John (Dory) Sarver of Butler, Ed (Connie) Sarver of Butler, Ron (Jill) Sarver of Riverside, Calif., Ralph (Diane) Sarver of Butler and Raymond (Linda) Sarver of Butler.

He was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.

<B>SARVER</B> — Friends of Thomas L. Sarver, who died Sunday, April 25, 2010, will be received from 2 to 4 and from 6 until time of service at 8 p.m. Thursday at <B>Young Funeral Home</B>, 127 W.
