Dorothy E. Vogan, 94, of 280 W. Park Road, Portersville, passed away Monday evening at her home.

She was born April 17, 1916, in New Sheffield, Beaver County, and was the daughter of the late Chester and Nellie Huddleston Cain.

She married Earl Vogan on Dec. 26, 1936. He preceded her in death on Jan. 11, 1977.

Mrs. Vogan was a homemaker.

She was a member of the Zion Baptist Church, Slippery Rock, and was its oldest member.

Dorothy is survived by a daughter, Delores Wolthers of Portersville; a son, Eugene Vogan and his wife, Bonnie, of Slippery Rock; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great- grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Lee, Kenneth and Robert Cain; two sisters, Florence Wimer and Violet Crane; a son-in-law, Harold Wolthers; and a daughter-in-law, Sandra Vogan.

<B>VOGAN</B> — Visitation for Dorothy E. Vogan, who died Monday, May 24, 2010, will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at the <B>Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory</B>, 941 S. Mill St., New Castle. A service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. The Rev. Tom Meling of Zion Baptist Church will officiate.
