Frances May Petrarca, 82, of Butler died Thursday in Butler Memorial Hospital.

She was born Saturday, May 7, 1927, in Derry Township, daughter of the late John R. and Jenny Meidinger.

Frances was Catholic by faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Patrick J. Petrarca and several brothers and sisters.

Surviving are two sons, John Christopher Petrarca and wife Kathy of Florida, and Terrence Joseph Petrarca of Butler; a brother, Robert Meidinger of Blairsville; a granddaughter, Katrina Weaver and husband Brandon; and a great-grandson, Cody Sinnett.
