Gisela Thiede Goodman, 70, of Marienville, Pa., died at 12:45 a.m. Wednesday in Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Gisela was born March 13, 1940, in Weisbaden, Germany, the daughter of Adolf Thiede and Anna Thiede Lutz. She was married April 25, 1959, in Chicora to Cluster A. "Bud" Goodman, who preceded her in death.

Gisela was well known for taking care of animals. She provided a foster home for the Pennsylvania Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals for many years. She was also known for being a very good cook.

Surviving are a son, Michael Goodman of Virginia; two daughters, Evelyn Crytzer and her fiance, Roger Fairchild III, of Marienville, and Carol Sheets and her husband, Ralph, of Petal, Miss.; a daughter-in-law, Michelle Goodman Martin of Parker; and a son-in-law, Donald Crytzer of Ford City.

Other survivors include a sister, Rita Fritz and her husband, Edgar, of Weisbaden- Dotzheim, Germany; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews in Germany; five grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Cluster A. Goodman Jr.; an infant son, and two brothers, Adolf Thiede and Karl Fritz.

<B>GOODMAN</B> — Family and friends of Gisela Goodman, who died Wednesday, April 14, 2010, will be received at the <B>Ronald McDonald Funeral Home</B> in Marienville from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday. Funeral services will be in the funeral home at 11 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Boyd Edmundson, pastor of the Marienville Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will follow at 1 p.m. at the Chapel of Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens, Cranberry.
