Roberta J. Frishkorn
Roberta Jane (Alben) Frishkorn, 72, of Zelienople died Tuesday at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
Born June 6, 1937, in Portersville, she was the daughter of Robert and Blanche (Jones) Alben.
Mrs. Frishkorn was a member of the Hungarian Club, the Moose, the Elks, the German Club, the PNA and the SOI clubs. She also was a member of the ladies auxiliary of the VFW and the American Legion.
Mrs. Frishkorn was a non-stop workaholic volunteering her time and working part-time for the Jack Bonus Insurance Agency in Zelienople and Auto Industrial in Cranberry Township. Despite being very active, she was a fun-loving person who enjoyed bingo and gambling and was especially proud of her family.
She is survived by three sons, Gary F. Frishkorn Jr. and his wife, Debra, of West Pittsburg, Lawrence County, David L. Frishkorn and his spouse, Jack Hellaby, of Norwalk, Conn., and Robert K. Frishkorn and his wife, Trudy, of Zelienople; a daughter, Vicky Buzard and her husband, James, of Zelienople; and two sisters, Geraldine Johnston of New Castle and June Hartzel of Ellwood City. She also is survived by five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gary F. Frishkorn Sr., and two brothers, Kenneth and Arthur Alben, who were former residents of Ellwood City.
