Donald E. "Gouldy" Gould, 84, of Butler died Tuesday morning at Butler Memorial Hospital.

He was born Sept. 7, 1925, in Butler.

He was a 1943 graduate of Butler High School. He was a retired electrician, having worked for the Fuelgraff Electric Co. in Butler and was a 50-year member of the I.B.E.W. Formerly, he had been the business manager for the Local 10 in Butler, where he was its oldest member.

A veteran of World War II, he was a radio operator in the U.S Army Air Corps.

Gouldy was a member of the Butler Elks Lodge and had enjoyed his daily breakfasts with his friends at the Burger Hut.

Surviving are his many loving nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth E. (Cypher) Gould, who he married Aug. 23, 1948, and who died May 17, 2009. His two brothers, Robert and DeWitt, also preceded him in death.

<B>Gould </B>—<B> </B>Friends of Donald E. "Gouldy" Gould, who died Tuesday, April 13, 2010, will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. The Rev. Steven V. Neff, pastor of St. Paul roman Catholic Church, Butler, will officiate. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum at Calvary Cemetery, Butler.Military honors will be accorded by the Ceremonial Honor Squad of the VFW Post 249, Butler, and American Legion Post 778 of Lyndora.Information also is available at www.geibelfuneralhome.com.
