Savannah 60th anniversary
Dominick "Red" and Rita Savannah of Butler celebrated 60 years of marriage with a family dinner followed by a reception at the Sons of Italy Lodge in Butler.
Savannah married the former Rita Nocera on Sept. 10, 1949, at St. Michael Roman Catholic Church.
They have two children, Charles Savannah of Butler and Thomas Savannah of Deale, Md.
They also have four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Mr. Savannah retired in 1976 from John R. Ellison and Sons Heating and Plumbing. he is a lifetime member of the Sons of Italy club in
Butler and a member of the Local Labor Union 323. He enjoys playing cards, playing the lottery and working in his tomato garden.Mrs. Savannah is a homemaker. She enjoys reading and cooking Italian family dinners, especially her meatballs and sauce.Mr. and Mrs. Savannah both enjoy spending countless hours with family and friends.The Savannahs are members of St. Michael Roman Catholic Church in Butler.In lieu of gifts, the Savannahs request donations to the St. Vincent DePaul Food Cupboard.
