The Paulsens in 1959

Larry and Carolyn Paulsen of Butler celebrated 50 years of marriage with a family dinner followed by a New England fall foliage cruise.

Paulsen married the former Carolyn Wise on Sept. 4, 1959, in Buffalo Presbyterian Church in Sarver.

They have two children, Douglas Paulsen of Cabot and Beth Hildebrand of Cabot. Two sons, Danny Paulsen and Scott Paulsen, are deceased.

They also have three grandchildren.

Paulsen is retired from Peoples Gas Co., where he was a welder. He is a member of several Masonic organizations.

Mrs. Paulsen is a retired Penn Township tax collector. She is a member of Maqueda Chapter 421 Order of the Eastern Star.

The Paulsens are members of the Buffalo Presbyterian Church.
