Bortmas 60th anniversary
Lee and Ruth Bortmas of Butler celebrated 60 years of marriage with a family dinner at Shakespeare's Restaurant.
Bortmas married the former Ruth Young on Sept. 1, 1949, at Mountville Church near Portersville.
They have three children, Ron Bortmas of Arizona, Debbie Minton of Saxonburg and Polly Palermo of Butler.
They also have seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Mr. and Mrs. Bortmas formerly owned Bortmas, the Butler Florist.
Mr. Bortmas is employed by API in Butler. He is a member of Butler Lodge 272 F&AM.
Mrs. Bortmas is retired. She is a member of Butler Chapter 45 Order of the Eastern Star.
Mr. and Mrs. Bortmas are both members of the Butler Kiwanis Club and Butler Old Stone House Car Club. They have collected and sold a large number of antique and classic cars. Mr. Bortmas has researched the production of the first jeep built in Butler and gives talks on this frequently.
The Bortmases are members of the North Main Street Church of God and attend the Keenagers' Sunday school.
