Martonik 50th anniversary

The Martoniks in 1959

Martin and Nancy Martonik of Butler celebrated 50 years of marriage with a Mass at St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church in Butler, followed by a reception at the home of their daughter Maria Worst and her husband Paul.

Martonik married the former Nancy Ann Heinick on Aug. 22, 1959, in St. Alphonsus Church in Springdale.

They have one child, Maria Worst of Butler.

They also have four grandchildren.

Mr. Martonik is retired from International Staple and Mechanical Company, where he was a tool and die maker.

Mrs. Martonik worked as an estimator for Keystone Box in Pittsburgh before the birth of their daughter. She is a homemaker. She has held many offices in the Christian Mothers Guild including president, is Eucharist minister at St. Fidelis for the Homebound Altar Society and a member of the card ministry for the church and Christian Mothers Guild.Mr. and Mrs. Martonik are also longtime members of the Butler County Family YMCA.The Martoniks attend St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church in Butler.
