Joseph J. Jenkins

Joseph J. Jenkins of Butler celebrated his 80th birthday with more than 100 family members and friends at a party at Creative Catering in Butler.

Mr. Jenkins was born Aug. 23, 1929, in Butler.

He has seven children, Joe Jenkins of Grove City, Sally Jenkins of Vancouver, Wash., Dan Jenkins of Ukiah, Calif., Dr. Kelly Nielsen of Lake Oswego, Ore., Dr. Jody Jenkins and Rebecca McCalmont, both of Sierra Vista, Ariz., and Patrick Jenkins of Highland Mills, N.Y.

He married Joann Staaf on June 30, 1987. She has two children, Michael Staaf of Beaver and Joni Sturgill of Sewickley.

He also has 21 grandchildren.

Mr. Jenkins is a retired Army major. He later retired from the federal government, where he worked as a special agent with the FAA.
